Manager, System Administrator
The Manager, System Administrator reports directly to Head of IT and is responsible for managing user accounts and ensuring system integrity across various platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
User Account Management
- Provision, de-provision, and modify user accounts (both internal and external) across a variety of platforms such as Veeva Vault, Trial Interactive eTMF and Simple Trials CTMS, as well as Microsoft 365/Entra AD.
- Address any user or vendor access issues promptly.
- Ensure access permissions and group memberships adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve user account management processes, including implementing automation or best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
System Maintenance
- Conduct regular system periodic reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, system integrity, and fitness for purpose.
- Implement preventative and improvement-focused maintenance to optimize availability and security.
- Coordinate with vendors for support, system integrations, and updates, ensuring adherence to GxP guidelines.
- Assist with system backups and updates.
Documentation and Compliance
- Create, review, and maintain detailed, audit-ready documentation for all user provisioning, system actions, and processes.
- Ensure IT systems comply with GxP regulations, company SOPs, and industry standards.
- Support audits by providing required documentation and resolving any identified gaps.
Collaboration and Support
- Partner with the Head of IT to identify and implement system improvements.
- Collaborate with ITB-MED departments to ensure efficient and secure access to all systems.
- Offer support for escalated user access issues and inquiries.
- Offer broad IT support to team members in both Sweden and the US.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, biotech, or a related field. Or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration in a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT security, access control strategies, and GxP documentation requirements.
- Experience with periodic system reviews and maintaining compliance documentation in a regulated industry.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues promptly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications related to Microsoft 365, Azure, Veeva Vault, or other relevant platforms.
- Bilingual proficiency in Swedish and English.
